These terms explain the rules for using OpenRun and tryopenrun.com.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of OpenRun, a pickup-sports app designed for iPhone Duo, and of tryopenrun.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or have a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms for you. The Service is not directed to children under 13. You must not use the Service if you are barred from doing so by law.
OpenRun may ask you to sign in, for example with Sign in with Apple, and to choose a display name. You agree to give accurate information and to keep your device and sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
The name and optional photo you choose may be shown to other people on games you host or join. Do not impersonate others, use a name that is unlawful or offensive, or include private information in your profile. We may ask you to change, or may remove, a name or photo that breaks these Terms.
Games you create may be visible to other OpenRun users, including the title, sport, time, location, capacity, skill level, and the names of participants. Where OpenRun offers options that limit who can see or join a game, the host is responsible for choosing the setting that fits their game. Do not post details you do not want others to see.

If you join a game, you agree to only join if you are able to take part, to arrive on time or let the host know if your plans change, to follow the venue’s rules, and to treat other players with respect.

OpenRun is meant to be a friendly, inclusive place for people of all backgrounds and skill levels. Be kind, play fair, and respect other people’s time and space. You can report a game and block a host from within the app, and you can contact us at support@tryopenrun.com. We may remove content or restrict access when we believe these Terms have been broken.
Sports and physical activity carry risk, including risk of injury. You decide whether a game is right for you and take part at your own risk. OpenRun does not organise, supervise, or attend games, and does not screen, verify, or endorse hosts, participants, courts, or venues. Use good judgement: choose public places where you feel comfortable, tell someone where you are going, and leave if something feels wrong. Nothing in the Service is medical advice.
Courts and venues are owned or managed by other people. OpenRun is not affiliated with them unless we say so, and does not guarantee that a court, field, or venue exists, is open, is available, is in good condition, or permits your game. Follow posted rules and instructions from the property owner or operator.
The Service can show maps, distances, and directions, including information provided by third parties such as Apple Maps. This information may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate. Follow traffic laws and local rules, and never use the Service while driving. You are responsible for choosing how you travel.
You keep ownership of content you submit, such as game details, names, photos, and messages. You give OpenRun a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and transmit that content as needed to run and improve the Service. You are responsible for what you submit and confirm that you have the right to share it. We do not have to monitor content, but we may remove content that breaks these Terms.
The Service works with services from other companies, such as Apple’s sign-in, maps, iCloud, Health, and Calendar features, and a weather data provider. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.
The Service, including its name, logo, design, and software, belongs to OpenRun or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service except as the law allows.
Games are organised by hosts, not by OpenRun. A host may change or cancel a game at any time, capacity can fill, and requests may be approved or declined. Waiting lists, reminders, and notifications are provided as conveniences and are not a promise that a game will take place or that a place will be available. Please confirm details before you travel.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenRun disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any game, host, participant, court, or venue is safe, lawful, or suitable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenRun and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss, or damage arising from games, venues, or interactions between users. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or a nominal amount if you paid nothing. You agree to defend and indemnify OpenRun against claims, damages, and costs arising from your content, your games, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent the law allows. [Draft clause — to be reviewed and, if appropriate, revised or removed by legal counsel.]
You can stop using OpenRun at any time. Where the app provides it, you can delete your data from within Settings. We may suspend or end access to the Service if you break these Terms, if we need to protect users or the Service, or if the law requires. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on content, disclaimers, and liability, survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update its date. If the changes are significant, we will try to tell you in the app or by another suitable method. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
